Entrance Exams: NET and SLET

NET: National Eligibility Test (NET) is conducted by UGC (University Grant Commission). Candidates should have a Master's Degree with at least 55% Marks from a recognised University to qualify for this examination. After qualifying for this examination, the candidates are eligible to apply for the post of Assistant Professor. NET qualified candidates can apply for the post of assistant professor at any institute.

SLET: The other test conducted for becoming a professor is the State Eligibility Test and for appearing the candidates should have a Master Degree with at least 55 % Marks to qualify State Eligibility Test.SLET qualified candidates can apply only for state-level universities or colleges.
